David Gillespie

David is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland. He is responsible for the finance functions of the SGSPAA group, including corporate strategy, corporate finance, treasury, financial management, taxation and shared financial services. In addition to being CFO, David is on the Board of Directors of all of SGSPAA’s wholly owned subsidiaries.

His experience includes six years at Deloitte in a variety of management roles and ten years as an Independent Member of the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute’s Audit Finance and Risk Committee. Mr Gillespie is also the Deputy Chair of the Victorian Clinical Genetics Service.

Throughout his fourteen year career at SGSPAA Mr Gillespie has held a range of roles including General Manager of Corporate Finance Australia, Manager of Finance Strategy, and Risk and Internal Audit Manager. David is also a regular media contributor and commentator on financial matters.
