Tom Root is the co-founder and member of the board of directors of Maker Works and the owner and managing partner of Zingerman's Mail Order. They served as Manager, Corporate Intranet at DTE Energy from 1996 to 1999. They have served as a trustee of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum since 2009. They earned a BS in Business Administration from Miami University in 1993.
