Tim Danusa

Tim Danusa has a diverse range of work experience. Tim most recently worked at Zip Co as a Senior Manager - Risk Analytics and Controls. Prior to that, Tim worked at Commonwealth Bank, where they held the position of Senior Manager - Analytics. In this role, they led a team of analytics professionals, implemented self-service analytics within the audit team, and identified opportunities for further embedding analytics and data science. Tim also held the role of Manager - Analytics at Commonwealth Bank, where they were responsible for the analytics scope of audit and assurance activities.

Before joining Commonwealth Bank, Tim worked at Westpac, where they served as a Product Risk Manager - Credit Cards Analytics. In this role, they led a project to replace scorecard models for the credit card portfolios, resulting in increased approval rates and decreased bad rates. Tim also had experience as a Product Risk Manager - Mortgage Analytics at Westpac, where they conducted credit risk strategy analysis and led the implementation of a data visualization strategy.

In addition to their banking experience, Tim has also worked as a Delegate and Ambassador at One Young World and as a Customer Service Supervisor and Assistant at Coles Group. Tim also completed an international internship as an IPO Consulting Associate at Beijing Heading Century Consulting. Overall, Tim has demonstrated their expertise in analytics, risk management, and customer service throughout their career.

Tim Danusa obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Actuarial Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics from UNSW between 2009 and 2012. Tim later pursued further education in Data Science at General Assembly, which is ongoing as of the current year (2021). Tim also holds additional certifications including a Core Certification from Alteryx and membership in Australian Mensa. Tim has also obtained the SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 (CBP) certification from SAS.
