Brian Johnson has extensive work experience in software engineering. Brian started their career as a developer for various design studios and marketing firms, where they developed interactive marketing content and games. Brian then worked as a senior developer for VIP Art Fair, creating a web venue for live events related to art. Brian later joined Infogroup as a senior software engineer, where they developed an app for querying business data using Elasticsearch. Brian then worked at Zipcar as a principal software engineer and tech lead, working on UI refresh, API, platform work, and breaking up legacy monolith. Currently, Brian is working at Google as a software engineer.
Brian Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Media Theory, and Philosophy from Tufts University from 2000 to 2004. Brian continued their education at The New School, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Media Studies from 2005 to 2010. Brian also pursued a PhD in Philosophy of Communications at the European Graduate School, but did not complete the program.
