Tim Russell

Tim Russell's work experience includes a variety of roles in different companies. Tim started their career as a Staff Technologist at Redifussion Radio Systems in 1982 and then worked as a Principal Research Engineer at Rediffusion Simulation from 1986 to 1989. From 1989 to 1993, they worked as a Training Instructor at Sun Microsystems. Tim then became self-employed and worked as a Unix/Java Consultant until 2000. Tim then worked as a Development Manager at Yospace from 2000 to 2009. From 2009 to 2013, they were the Android Development Lead at INQ Mobile. Tim worked as a Technical Architect / Android Lead at zeebox from 2013 to 2014 and as an Android Developer at SmartFocus in 2014. Tim joined Zipcar in 2015, where they worked as an Android contractor until 2020. Currently, they are the Android Tech Lead at Zipcar.

Tim Russell earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 1979 to 1982.
