Giulia Ascari

Associate Project Manager at Ziphius

Giulia Ascari has had a diverse range of work experiences in the scientific and research field. Giulia started their career as an Erasmus Placement at the University of Lausanne, where they worked in the Unit of Medical Genetics. Giulia then moved on to the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences as a Visiting PhD Student. Following that, they joined UGent as a Doctoral Student and later became a Marie Curie PhD Fellow under the EyeTN program. Giulia continued their academic pursuits as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Universiteit Gent and subsequently became an FWO PhD Fellow at the Research Foundation Flanders. Most recently, they have been working at Ziphius Vaccines, first as a Scientific & Regulatory Writer and currently as an Associate Project Manager.

Giulia Ascari pursued their education in a chronological manner. Giulia obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. After completing their Bachelor's degree, they enrolled in the same university for a Master's degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, which they completed from 2011 to 2014. Subsequently, Ascari pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Doctor of Health Sciences from Ghent University from 2015 to 2020.
