Eric Zhang

Eric Zhang is an accomplished security professional currently serving as the Head of Security at Zip since 2021, where responsibilities include leading the security organization and overseeing Security Engineering, Corporate Security, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Prior experience includes serving as Security Engineering Lead at Samsara from 2018 to 2021, where Eric grew an engineering team and developed security products and initiatives leading to an IPO. Previously, Eric contributed to foundational security systems at Pinterest from 2015 to 2018, enhancing the protection of servers and user data. Earlier roles included an internship at Salesforce in 2014, and work as a Teaching Assistant in Discrete Math at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2014, as well as a Software Engineer Intern at Gust in 2013. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, earned in 2015.
