Joseph Tobin

Joseph Tobin is a software engineer currently employed at Zip since October 2022. Previously, Joseph participated in the Recurse Center from February to May 2022 and worked at Microsoft from June 2018 to February 2022, contributing to Microsoft Teams Core Services and helping grow daily active users from 20 million to 130 million. Joseph also completed The Impact Fellowship in January 2018 and held various roles at the University of Virginia, including teaching assistant for Algorithms and Discrete Math and resident advisor. A software engineer intern at Microsoft in the summer of 2017 and a student researcher at SURIEM Math REU from May 2016 to January 2017, Joseph earned a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Virginia from 2014 to 2018, following graduation from Cranford High School in 2014.
