Ryan Patterson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in electronics and firmware design. Currently serving as a Hardware and Firmware Design Engineer at Zipline International Inc. since October 2014, Ryan focuses on avionics for autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle systems. As the Owner and Senior Electrical & Computer Engineer at Galvanic Engineering, established in January 2011, Ryan specializes in product development for aerospace, defense, and consumer-grade electronics, particularly in complex FPGA systems. Previously, Ryan worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, where responsibilities included designing control electronics for autonomous robotics and spacecraft. Additional experience encompasses electrical engineering internships at Hewlett-Packard, Micron Technology, Lockheed Martin, Thermo Automation Systems, and Axonn Corp. Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Mechatronics Systems Engineering from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
