Ryan Lee

Ryan Lee is a software engineer at ZipRecruiter since June 2022, previously serving as a research assistant at UC Irvine from November 2021 to June 2022. In the research role, Ryan implemented Python language models utilizing advanced techniques like word tokenization and n-grams with Laplace smoothing to analyze word order entropy across multiple languages. Proficient in data wrangling with Pandas and Numpy, Ryan created normalized n-grams and developed a web scraper using Scrapy to compile multilingual corpora. Additionally, Ryan designed an interactive web platform employing vanilla JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and PHP for conducting online experiments and collecting participant data.
