Matthew Muntean

Matthew Muntean has a diverse range of experience in the field of animation and digital effects. Matthew is currently serving as the Head of 3D at Ziva Dynamics since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Weta Digital for several years, starting as a Creatures Lead from May 2007 to June 2011, and later becoming a Creatures Supervisor from June 2011 to December 2021. Matthew also held the position of Character Rigging Supervisor at MPC from December 2003 to October 2006. Before that, they worked at Tippett Studio as a Creature Rigging specialist from January 2001 to September 2003. Matthew started their career as a Senior Character Animator at Stardust Entertainment GmbH in Germany in 2000, and then worked as a Character Animator at Midland Productions from February 1998 to August 1999. Matthew also has experience in Technical Support at Internet Alaska from 1996 to 1997.

Matthew Muntean attended Vancouver Film School in 1997. Matthew studied 3D Animation & Visual FX for one year.
