Ed C. started their career in 1981 as the Central Area Manager-Utility Automation for Westinghouse Electric Company. In 1988, they founded and became the CEO of Cannon Technologies, where they created enterprise software and hardware for electric utility automation. In 2008, they sold Cannon Technologies to Cooper, which became the core of Eaton's Energy Automation Solutions Division. In 2009, Ed C. became the CEO of Zivix (Jamstik), where they led a team to create the Jamstik Studio MIDI Guitar and Jamstik software to help students learn the basics of music creation.
Ed C. attended South Dakota State University from 1970 to 1974, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
