Robert Ankenbauer

Robert Ankenbauer, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Swine Biologicals at Zoetis Inc., a position held since February 2013. Prior to this role, Robert worked at Pfizer from June 1996 to February 2013, where titles included Associate Director of Biological Discovery and Senior Research Investigator. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Research Scientist at SmithKline Beecham Animal Health and as an Intramural Research Training Award Fellow at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Robert began academic training as a Damon Runyon Cancer Research Fund Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington, focusing on molecular analyses of tumorigenesis. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Microbiology and a B.S. in General Science, both obtained from the University of Iowa.
