Mark Lopez

Mark Lopez is currently the Principal GNC Engineer for Modeling and Simulation at Zone 5 Technologies, where they lead engineering efforts in modeling and simulation. They also serve as a Flight Dynamics Modeling Subject Matter Expert at the U.S. Army DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center, focusing on physics-based models and various vertical lift vehicles. Previously, Mark worked as a Senior Research Associate at the San José State University Research Foundation, an Aerospace Engineer at the U.S. Army Aviation Development Directorate, and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they earned both a Ph.D. and a Master's in Aerospace Engineering. Mark also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
