Zone01 is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to advancing educational robotics and STEM learning. For more than a decade, we have empowered students and educators by developing innovative robotics programs, providing teacher training, and organizing robotics competitions that inspire creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Zone01 also serves as the National Organizer for the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Canada, leading the country's official WRO program and giving Canadian students the opportunity to compete at the regional, national, and international levels.

Our mission is to make science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) engaging and accessible for all young people. We support schools by creating hands-on educational robotics programs, providing professional learning opportunities for teachers, and helping educators confidently integrate robotics into classrooms across Canada. Through regional and national competitions, students have the opportunity to apply their skills in real-world challenges while developing teamwork, resilience, and critical thinking.

Zone01 was originally founded in response to concerns about high school dropout rates among boys, using robotics as a powerful tool to increase engagement in learning. Today, our mission has evolved to ensure that every student has the opportunity to discover the excitement of STEM, regardless of their background or identity.
