Roman Kaplun is the CEO and Co-Founder of Zoolatech, a software development company established in Palo Alto, California, in April 2017, specializing in high-end software engineering. With a 300-person team, Zoolatech focuses on custom software engineering, UX/UI design, and cybersecurity. Roman also serves as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University, providing expertise from Silicon Valley to enhance the educational experience of over 15,000 students and faculty. Previously, Roman held various leadership roles at Expedia Group from September 2007 to March 2017, overseeing technology operations and engineering services. Earlier experiences include roles at IAC, Hotwire, Cimo, Inc., Thomson Reuters, and Advanced Collaboration Solutions, alongside a brief tenure as a Merchant Marine Cadet with A.P. Moller - Maersk. Roman holds a Bachelor of Science in Transportation, Logistics, and Business Administration from California State University Maritime Academy, along with a US Coast Guard Third Mate License for Unlimited Tonnage Vessels.
