Founded in 2016 by Tatyana Palyga and Alexander Bondar, Zoopark Publishing is an independent experimental platform dedicated to the book as a primary medium. While their roots in self-published books and zines date back to 2010, the collective has evolved into a multifaceted creative project focused on the intersection of photography and the printed form.
Artistic Vision
The collective utilizes a rich tapestry of media—combining original and found photography, text, graphics, and illustrations. Their work transcends personal narrative to address the wider contexts of the regions they inhabit, exploring the unique possibilities of the book to convey complex visual statements.
Creative Services & Production

Beyond their own publications, Zoopark offers specialized photobook design and production services. They treat the book as a tactile medium, emphasizing:
Custom Design: Merging photography and graphics into cohesive, narrative-driven layouts.
Manual Production: A hands-on approach to assembly and binding for a unique, artisanal feel.
Technical Innovation: High-quality experimentation with inkjet printing and very limited-edition runs.

Global Reach & Community
From their base of operations, Zoopark has built a significant international presence:

Distribution: Their publications are curated in specialized bookshops across Russia, Europe, and Japan.
Exhibition: Regular participants in major international photo-book fairs and art festivals.
Performance: The collective extends their visual language into live spaces, performing video-projections in collaboration with musicians and sound artists.

Key Milestones
2018: Founded Zoopark Studio / Berlin, an experimental residency serving as a gallery, art shop, and hub for artist talks and concerts.
2019–Present: Leading practical workshops on the craft of photobook and zine making, sharing technical expertise with the creative community.
