Derek Adams is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in technology development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Manager for Calibration at Zoox since February 2016, Derek guides the CLAMS software engineering team while also managing the software infrastructure. Prior to Zoox, Derek worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory from July 2004 to February 2016, where responsibilities included budget management and technical leadership for the Holodeck Terrain Modeling Lab, as well as software development for sensor fusion applications. Earlier experience includes database reporting for a hospital system and developing MS Access-based database systems for the Metropolitan Water District. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, earned in 2004.
