Jacob Charest

Jacob Charest is a Mechatronics Test Engineer at Zoox since June 2022, with prior experience as a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Software Engineering Intern at Draper and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. During the tenure at NASA, Jacob contributed to the Orion Spacecraft project through the design of a mechanical latching system and analysis of temperature trends using MATLAB. Additional roles include an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the RPI Center for Flow Physics and Control, where Jacob designed airfoil models, and a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at NASA, focusing on thermal vacuum chamber systems and Martian dust environment simulations. Jacob holds a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
