Ling Yuan

Ling Yuan is a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer at Zoox since June 2021, with prior experience as a Senior Controls System Engineer at General Motors from February 2017 to June 2021 and as an Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. from July 2012 to January 2017. At General Motors, Ling Yuan developed real-time Matlab/Simulink control simulation models for various vehicle domains and led the integration of L2 self-driving vehicles. At Caterpillar Inc., responsibilities included controller development for Natural Gas engines and significant contributions to a $24M engine control system project. Earlier experience includes assisting in ultrasonic research at the Therapeutic Ultrasound Laboratory. Ling Yuan holds three degrees from the University of Michigan, including a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Control and a Master's in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
