Mingfeng Zhang

Mingfeng Zhang, PhD, currently serves as Engineering Manager for Trajectory Generation at Zoox since March 2023. Prior to this role, Zhang was VP Operations and Chief Technology Officer at Besnovo Inc. from August 2017 to June 2022, where responsibilities included oversight of engineering, R&D, HR, and IT functions, as well as the development of product strategies, recruitment, and certification processes. Experience also includes positions at MDA as Chief Technology Officer and Engineering Manager, where significant contributions were made to autonomous vehicle systems and robotics, as well as research roles at McGill University and the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies focusing on UAVs and flight dynamics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Aerospace Engineering & Science from the University of Toronto and both an MS and BS from Beihang University in Navigation, Guidance & Control, and Electrical Engineering and Automation respectively.
