Patrick Rice

Patrick Rice is a seasoned Software Engineer at Zoox since March 2018, where contributions have been made to various teams and projects, including Driving Tools, Fleet Management, and Hardware Software Integration. As a tech lead on the Driving Tools team, Patrick has developed web-based applications that enhance the operation of complex robotics systems for robot operators, playing a critical role in Zoox’s in-vehicle visualization system for autonomous robotaxis. Prior experience includes positions as Vehicle Operator II and I at Cruise Automation, Vehicle Operator at the Air Force Research Laboratory, and Research Associate internships at NASA Ames Research Center. Patrick holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from San Francisco State University, complemented by a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Chemistry.
