Yang Song

Yang Song has extensive experience in software engineering and technical leadership, currently serving as Engineering Manager II at Zoox since January 2020. Prior roles at Zoox included Engineering Manager for Embedded Middleware, Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer, focusing on the Core Team for Embedded Robot Middleware. Before Zoox, Yang was a Senior Software Engineer at Varian Medical Systems, contributing to the architecture design of AI-driven adaptive radiotherapy solutions, and previously a Software Engineer III, where Yang improved deployment tools. Yang began a career at Accuray as an Embedded Software Engineer and has held various research and programming positions at institutions such as the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Harbin Institute of Technology. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Systems and Signal Processing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Nanodegree in Self-Driving Car Engineering from Udacity, and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology.
