Tim Russell

Tim Russell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tim has held the position of Product Director - Savings at Zopa Bank since September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Laybuy from August 2022 to September 2023, and as the Head of Strategy from June 2021 to August 2022. Before joining Laybuy, Tim worked at Goldman Sachs, where they served as Vice President from January 2019 to May 2021 and as an Associate from August 2018 to December 2018. Tim also has experience at Macquarie Group, where they worked as an Executive from April 2017 to July 2018, as an Associate from January 2014 to April 2017, and as an Intern - Assistant Analyst from December 2012 to December 2013. Additionally, Tim worked as an Assistant Analyst - Equities and Fixed Income at Harbour Asset Management from April 2012 to December 2012. Tim also has teaching experience as a Tutor at Victoria University of Wellington from February 2012 to November 2012. Finally, Tim served as the Vice President of the Victoria University Law Students Society from December 2011 to November 2012.

Tim Russell completed their Bachelor's Degree in Law and Finance from Victoria University of Wellington from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Palmerston North Boys High School from 2004 to 2008 where they obtained their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications such as CFA Level 1 from CFA Institute, NZX Associate Advisor from NZX, and the Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand from the High Court of New Zealand.
