Pension and disability insurance in Slovenia is compulsory and uniform for everyone who meets the statutory insurance requirements (insured persons). Compulsory pension and disability insurance therefore covers  workers who are employed by legal persons and other employers, private individuals pursuing an independent commercial or professional activity, farmers and members of their households, and other persons who pursue certain activities or enjoy the entitlements that underpin compulsory insurance.
