Valentin Kalchev

Valentin Kalchev is the current iOS Lead Developer at Zuant, a position they have held since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Lead iOS Developer at HIGH PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE LIMITED from November 2016 to March 2021. There, they were responsible for the complete ownership of the Zuant iOS app, designing and developing a multi-purpose application that fit numerous clients' needs. This included closely collaborating with internal and external teams for usability and integration purposes, translating business requirements into project specifications and designing solutions (both technical and UI/UX), and supporting clients on-site (trade-shows and events - most notably WebSummit). Valentin also mentored Junior iOS Developer and QA.

Before their time at HIGH PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE LIMITED, Valentin Kalchev worked as an iOS Developer at their previous company from February 2016 to November 2016. There, they redesigned and developed the in-app form editor reducing the time taken to serve clients; increase in the client base from 60 to 200+ within two years. Valentin also designed and developed an in-app catalogue for clients to add product interest alongside lead information. Furthermore, they collaborated with the CTO, backend developer and data compliance officer to design a new GDPR compliant synchronisation mechanism which records the history of changes and prevents users from accessing non-compliant data. Lastly, they oversaw the development of an MVP Zuant Android app by an external team; maintained the project after completion.

Valentin Kalchev has a BSc in Games Technology from the University of the West of England.

Valentin Kalchev reports to Pete Gillett, Managing Director. They work with Courtney Hill - Account Manager, Dave Hickson - Solution Architect, and Charlotte Rimmer - Account Manager.
