Mark Avery

Mark Avery is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in photography and photo editing, currently serving as a Photo Editor and Photographer Liaison at ZUMA Press since 2006. With a background as a Freelance Photographer and Imaging Specialist at Mark Avery Photography since 1980, Mark has expertise in editorial photography. Prior experience includes a role as a Staff Photographer and Photo Editor at the Orange County Register from 1993 to 2006, where Mark covered significant historical events, and as a Staff Photographer at the Associated Press from 1988 to 1991, providing coverage for a large portion of the global population. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from California State University, Long Beach, and an Associate of Arts in Journalism from Cerritos College.
