Mark Murrmann

Mark Murrmann is a seasoned photographer and instructor with extensive experience in documentary photography and photo direction. Currently serving as a part-time instructor at City College of San Francisco and previously at the Academy of Art University, Murrmann has been the Photo Director for Mother Jones since 2007, overseeing photography and commissioning assignments. As a contract photographer for ZUMA Press, notable work includes coverage of significant events such as the Orange Revolution and Hurricane Katrina. Murrmann's freelance photography has been featured in numerous publications and exhibits, highlighting a range of personal projects and contributions to the art and music community. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Photojournalism from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and History from Indiana University Bloomington.
