Abhay S.

Abhay S. has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Abhay started their career as a Software Engineer at Net Vigil Software in 2002, where they worked until 2003. Abhay then moved on to join Trigyn as a Software Engineer from 2003 to 2004. Abhay then worked at Oracle as a Project Leader from 2004 to 2008.

In 2008, they joined IBM as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and later became a Software Architect. At IBM, Abhay contributed significantly to the design, development, and support of their software products and systems.

Abhay then worked as a Technical Architect at SpiderLogic from 2013 to 2017. In this role, they designed software architecture, led the implementation of software sub-systems, and provided technical mentoring and guidance.

Following SpiderLogic, Abhay joined New Era Education, Aus as a Senior Developer in 2017. In this position, they played a key role in driving the design and architecture of core services while also contributing through coding, coaching, pairing, and code reviews.

Abhay briefly worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Airwallex in 2018 before joining Zuora as a Senior Engineer. At Zuora, they designed and developed flexible components and APIs for the company's next-generation products, advocated for high-quality software development practices, and worked with product management and other engineering teams.

Abhay's career progression at Zuora continued as they took on the role of Lead Engineer, where they drove a culture of innovation, led technical discussions and design challenges, and set best practices. Currently, Abhay holds the position of Principal Engineer at Zuora, where they continue to contribute their expertise in engineering and innovation.

Abhay S. completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical studies from the University of Mumbai from 1997 to 2001. Afterward, they pursued a Post Graduation Diploma in Software Technology with a specialization in Software Technologies from the National Center for Software Technology from 2001 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Abhay S. obtained several certifications from Coursera. In June 2014, they completed the "R Programming" course, followed by "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" in July 2014. Prior to these, in November 2013, Abhay S. completed the "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" course.
