Simon Cross

Simon Cross is an accomplished Senior Software Engineer at Zurich Instruments since May 2023 and a Quantum Engineering Specialist at RIKEN since May 2021. Additionally, Simon serves as a Core Developer for the HPy Project, which focuses on enhancing the Python C API for better integration of Python and C extensions. Previously, Simon held positions such as Lead Data Scientist at Prodigy Finance from August 2016 to August 2020 and Developer & Team Lead at Praekelt Foundation from August 2011 to July 2016. Earlier experience includes roles as a Developer at SKA SA, St James Software, South African National Bioinformatics Institute, and Independent Online. Simon earned a degree from the University of Cape Town between 1995 and 2003.
