James Cullis, a water resources engineer and adaptation specialist, has over 20 years of experience in the field, with a focus on Africa as well as work in the UK, US, Australia, and Antarctica. Currently serving as a Technical Director and Sustainability Expertise Leader at Zutari, James is dedicated to addressing global water challenges that support sustainable economic development and climate change adaptation. Previously, James held leadership roles at Aurecon, where they significantly advanced the company's water capabilities and managed numerous projects across the African continent. James earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town and pursued advanced studies at the University of Oxford and the University of Colorado Boulder, culminating in a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
