Roy Gent

Roy Gent is a versatile process and utilities engineering lead with extensive experience in the design and implementation of projects in the Agri-Processing industry. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, achieved Summa Cum Laude, and are a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa. Their career began in the sugar by-products industry, and they have since worked across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals and food and beverage, focusing on utilities such as water and energy. Currently, Roy leads a team of electrical engineers at Zutari, concentrating on power generation from biomass for industrial clients while having worked with multinational companies across Africa and globally. In their personal life, Roy enjoys spending time with their four children and serving in their local church.
