Vera Hougaard

Vera Hougaard is a Senior Risk Management Consultant with Zutari's Sustainability Unit in Cape Town. They have extensive experience in marketing, sales, administration, event planning, and accounting, starting their career as a Project Assistant and progressing to Senior Risk Consultant. In this role, they focus on project and operational risk management, risk-based management systems, and hazard and operability studies (HAZOP). Vera holds a Master's degree in Disaster Risk Management, an Advanced Diploma in Disaster Risk Management, a BTech in Public Relations Management, and additional certifications in event management and project administration. They are also an Associate Member of the Institute for Risk Management in South Africa (IRMSA).
