Nathan Bates has a diverse work experience, with roles in various companies and positions. Nathan began their career in 2001 as a Technical Support at Convergys, handling front line support for Windows operating systems. In 2004, they joined Unisys as a Helpdesk / Support staff, providing phone support for clients. Later that year, they moved to Close To My Heart as a Senior Systems Administrator, where they were promoted in 2006. During their time there, they were responsible for managing the on-premise data center and establishing monitoring systems.
In 2012, Nathan joined Aetna as a System Administrator / Application Engineer, supporting Medicity/Aetna software used in hospitals and clinics. Nathan worked with various teams to deploy patches and validate HL7 messages. The following year, they returned to Close To My Heart as a Senior Systems Administrator.
In 2014, Nathan joined T.D. Williamson as an IT Support Analyst III, supporting various applications and communicating with end users regarding system status. Nathan then joined Willis Towers Watson in 2016 as a Site Reliability Engineer, responsible for implementing monitoring functionalities and integrating monitoring into deployment pipelines.
Most recently, in 2020, Nathan joined zvelo, Inc. as a Site Reliability Engineer.
Nathan Bates attended Wasatch High School from 1996 to 2000. During this time, they pursued a general education degree with no specified field of study.
