Doug Brown

Doug Brown is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in accounting and treasury management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Accounting and Treasury at Zymeworks Inc. since March 2022, Doug is responsible for the company's treasury policy, cash and liquidity management, and investment strategy for a portfolio of approximately US$400 million, as well as risk management processes. Prior to this role, Doug held the position of Director and Corporate Controller at CHC Helicopter from September 2013 to March 2022, where responsibilities included leading international tax and accounting teams across multiple countries and overseeing tax planning and structuring. Doug began his career at KPMG, serving as Senior Manager from September 2000 to September 2013, where a diverse range of industry experience was gained, along with expertise in financial reporting standards and extensive involvement in audits and team development. Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Strathclyde and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and ICAS.
