Janessa Li

Janessa Li is a Research Associate at Zymeworks Inc., specializing in the Exploratory Research Unit – Assays since July 2019, where expertise includes developing in vitro functional assays for novel biotherapeutics targeting cancer, autoimmune, and infectious diseases. Previous experience includes roles in Protein Engineering at Zymeworks, focusing on antibody production and characterization. Prior to Zymeworks, Janessa worked as a Technician at CDRD, contributing to antibody discovery and screening for immunotherapeutics. Additional research experience spans roles at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, the University of Victoria, and the BC Cancer Agency, encompassing drug effects on leukemia, drug delivery enhancement, and various biochemical assays. Janessa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry with Honours from the University of Victoria.
