Chris Warner

Chris Warner is currently a Member of Technical Staff at Zyphra, an artificial intelligence company focused on developing MaiaOS, a multimodal agent system utilizing advanced neural network architectures. Prior to this, Chris co-founded Diffusion AI Startup Labs, where a conditional image generation pipeline incorporating Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models was developed. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab, vocal complexity of human speech was characterized and automatic speech recognition models were trained. Chris also has a background as a Musician, Producer, and Computational Linguist at Warner Records, creating a self-produced album and developing computational tools for text representation. Additionally, experience as a Protein Design ML Researcher at CODA Biotherapeutics involved delivering a full ML pipeline for predicting receptor-ligand affinity. Chris earned a PhD in Biophysics and Computational Neuroscience from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from The Ohio State University.
