Sebin A. Jacob

Sebin A. Jacob has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Sebin is currently the Editor In Chief at The Drop Times, a role they started in October 2021. Prior to this, Sebin worked as a Senior Media Consultant at Zyxware Technologies starting from August 2021.

Sebin also has experience in the media industry, having worked as an Editorial Consultant for Nerariyan.com from February 2018 to June 2018 and for The Metropolitan Post from October 2017 to January 2018. In these roles, they were responsible for web-media management and designing multi-language portals.

In 2016, Sebin worked as the Resident Editor of Narada News Malayalam Edition, where they successfully transitioned the brand into a current affairs portal with increased readership. Sebin was also a Digital Media Consultant at Zyxware Technologies during the first half of 2016.

Sebin's earlier work experience includes serving as the President of Swathanthra Malayalam Computing (SMC) from December 2014 onwards. Within this role, they delivered lectures and participated in seminars across India on language computing. Sebin was also the Editor in charge at Marunadan Malayali from January 2014 to November 2014, where they redesigned the website and introduced automated workflow management.

In addition, Sebin was involved in the cultural project 'Janaavishkaara' as an Editorial Board Member from January 2017 to August 2017. Prior to this, in 2012, they attempted to set up an e-commerce company called Budha Infosolutions Private Limited but had to abandon the idea due to personal reasons.

Sebin A. Jacob's education history begins with completing their SSLC from Girideepam Bethany English High School in Vadavathoor, Kottayam, where they studied from kindergarten to matriculation. Following this, they attended Baselius College in Kottayam from 1995 to 1998 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Political Science.

In 1999, Sebin received a certificate in Journalism and Media from the National Educational Research Centre. Then, in 2000-2001, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in NewMedia Studies from the National Center for NewMedia Studies, V5 Communications, located in Kaumudi Avenue, Pettah, Thiruvananthapuram.

For their interest in system administration and networking in Linux, Sebin attended the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (CDIT) in 2003 and earned a certificate in the field.

Finally, in 2005-2006, Sebin pursued their passion for photography and obtained a certificate in Photography from the Sivans Institute of Photography.
