Fadia Kader has joined Clubhouse as head of media partnerships and creators. She will be reporting Maya Watson, the global head of marketing who joined the company this week after a 4-year stint at Netflix.
Kader, who has been named 40 Under 40 in Media and Entertainment by Fortune, previously led music partnerships at Instagram, where she focused on connecting artists with fans on their app. She has also served as senior music partnership lead for Twitter and senior director of brand partnerships and strategic marketing at Def Jam Recordings.
John Mayer first invited Kader to the exclusive, invite-only app in August. In her new role, Kader will collaborate with music creators, brands and entertainment companies to see how they can best utilize Clubhouse.
“Maya and I have been plotting on ways to work with one another in some capacity over the last couple years and we finally get to make that happen. Excited to learn from the brilliant and caring leader that she is. Here’s to building legacies,” Kader wrote on an Instagram post. “I know in my heart of hearts that all my past experiences have prepared me for this opportunity and I plan on giving my all to the dynamic clubhouse community.”
This week Clubhouse also announced an accelerator program to support top creators while they learn to monetize their work on the platform.
