EVP and Head of Programming at Paramaount+, Julie McNamara, is stepping down from her position after fifteen years with the company.
“Julie’s work and strong relationships with creators and talent led the way for the very first originals on CBS All Access, many of which are still top performers for Paramount+,” Tom Ryan, ViacomCBS’ President & CEO of Streaming said. “I’d like to express my sincere thanks for Julie’s contribution to our streaming strategy.”
McNamara was overseeing the original content strategy for Paramount+, she is reported to be a well-liked executive who wanted to make a change after setting up the streaming service successfully. It is likely that McNamara will be recruited into another high-profile position soon.
“During my 15 years at the company, I’ve had the great fortune to participate in the birth and growth of multiple businesses,” she wrote in an e-mail. “Paramount+ is launched and poised to capitalize on the breadth and depth of talent across multiple brands, with series lined up by the incredible P+ creative team.”
