Fully autonomous vehicle technology startup Perrone Robotics has made two new hires to advance its talent pipeline and boost its safety, reliability, security, and maintainability. The company also named Mobility360 CEO Richard "Dick" Alexander to its advisory board.

To lead talent acquisition operations, the Virginia-based company has brought Janet Bourland on board as its new VP of Talent. She is a veteran HR executive who brings more than 25 years of experience in recruitment, including deep experience identifying autonomous vehicle talent. She has previously held positions at Spire Global, Toyota Research Institute, vArmor, Xactly Corporation, BeVocal, Metanautix, CV Therapeutics, and Fibrogen.

Alongside Bourland, Perrone Robotics has also named Danny Vinson as VP of Assurance. Vinson is the exec in charge of monitoring and guiding safety, reliability, security, and maintainability programs across all of the company’s engineering teams. Before joining Perrone Robotics, he led quality assurance at mLINQS, S&P Global, Kronos Federal, Xperts, Inc., and Picture Network International.

Paul Perrone, the company’s Founder and CEO, stated, "With Janet, Dick and Danny on board, Perrone will advance our position in the market, onboard world-class talent and provide a robust program for product assurance to help revolutionize the mobility of people and things."

Earlier this month, the company completed a series of public road demonstrations of its self-driving platform in Maryland and Virginia. Perrone Robotics’ autonomous shuttles successfully operated in Virginia with no safety driver interventions.

With its latest additions, the company will have tools to expand its operations with fresh talent and greater oversight of its safety operations as it continues tests on open roads. The hires also follow a $10 million equity investment in February 2021 from CapStone Holdings.
