Audible has hired Zola Mashariki as Head of Studio Operations. In her new role, Mashariki will oversee original content, manage studio operations and implement content strategies. She reports directly to EVP and Head of U.S. Content, Rachel Ghiazza, a former Spotify executive who joined Audible in 2019.
“With Zola, a profoundly gifted executive, we are poised to conquer this important moment in audio - a pivotal time when creativity and originality are at a premium and we deepen our commitment to reimagine what audio experiences can mean for audiences," Ghiazza said in a statement.
Mashariki joined Fox Searchlight Pictures in 2000 and was with the company for 15 years, serving as Senior VP, Production. Most recently, she was the Chief Content Officer for Good Films. Prior to joining the TV and film industry, Mashariki was an attorney at Proskauer Rose, where she practised corporate law, focusing on M&A and security transactions.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to join a best-in-class team to lead content creation, evolve our strategy, amplify original voices - both emerging and established - and deliver imaginative, immersive and high-quality audio narratives to audiences everywhere," Mashariki said in a statement.
