Adaptive enterprise software startup Adapdix has found its new Chief Operating Officer, John Genovesi, from Rockwell Automation.
Genovesi’s new role at the edge AI automation and control software venture places him in charge of expanding sector growth and supporting increased customer demand. He will also play a central role in Adapdix's rapid expansion and global adoption by developing external relations with strategic partners.
He will report directly to Adapdix CEO Anthony Hill, who said, "John is an industry veteran with many years of senior-level experience, leading large cross-functional teams to deliver industrial IoT and analytic solutions. I'm delighted that he has decided to join Adapdix as he will play a key role in moving the company and our products to the next level."
Genovesi most recently served as Rockwell Automation’s SVP of Enterprise Accounts and Software, where he led software strategy and strategic partnerships. He also spent time in charge of the company’s Enterprise Software and Process Business and has held a variety of senior roles since he joined the company from Siemens in 1989.
Adapdix announced an $8 million Series A funding round in December 2020, which it quickly followed up with additional funding from SoftBank's Opportunity Fund. Armed with $10 million in total funding the startup onboarded Jean Lau as its Chief Technology Officer in February 2021 to help develop its next-generation edge intelligence automation and control software.
