Alicia Skubick is Trustpilot’s New Chief Marketing Officer

Online review platform Trustpilot has announced that Alicia Skubick will join the company to helm its marketing organization and grow its global brand after its IPO earlier this year.

Online review platform Trustpilot has announced that Alicia Skubick will join the company to helm its marketing organization and grow its global brand after its IPO earlier this year.

Skubick won’t officially be the company’s Chief Marketing Officer until October 4, but when she does join, she will also serve on its senior leadership team.

“Our IPO listing on London Stock Exchange this year was an important milestone and as we continue to build on all we have achieved, we are confident Alicia’s marketing skills and expertise will play a key role in establishing Trustpilot as a universal symbol of trust,” Trustpilot COO Tim Hilpert stated.

Skubick brings experience from Intuit Quickbooks, where she most recently led the financial management software company’s UK marketing team. She also held top marketing roles at Sage Pay, Travelex Business (now Western Union Business Solutions), and Symantec.

In the company’s announcement, Skubick highlighted the importance of online reviews and their ubiquitous presence in the e-commerce industry.

She went on to add, “I truly believe Trustpilot’s independent and open approach is the best way to build trust among consumers and businesses - now needed more than ever - and am delighted to be joining the company and putting its ambitious plans into action.”

Skubick has a massive task ahead of her as Trustpilot battles for supremacy in the online review market, however, she does have some major wins she can build off as she grow the company’s brand image. Earlier this summer, Trustpilot announced it had launched an integration with Shopify to enable more than 1.7 million merchants to integrate Trustpilot’s review tools into their websites for free.
