Ahead of self-described “aggressive” expansion plans, autonomous electric mobility startup Beep has picked Aubrey Vaughan to serve as its Chief Revenue Officer.
Vaughan brings decades of experience in the autonomous vehicle (AV) space and will primarily be tasked with identifying new strategic opportunities across for the company, which closed a $20 million Series A funding round earlier this year.
In an announcement, CEO Joe Moye said the top revenue role required a leader with a track record of ushering new technologies and services into real-world implementation who was also ready to pursue new strategic opportunities across verticals.
Vaughan joins the company, which operates the longest and most tenured autonomous shuttle network in the US, from drone and data company PrecisionHawk, where he served as an SVP. Prior to that, he garnered experience working with autonomous and advanced technologies for the US Department of Defense as well as various intelligence communities.
Moye added, “Aubrey's vision and extensive background in autonomous technologies and unmanned aerial vehicles for the U.S. Government signals that he's more than ready to lead our growth targets, while properly managing the complex regulatory and legislative landscape surrounding the safe testing of AVs."
Beep currently has partnerships for its turnkey managed autonomous mobility service with Lake Nona, a community in Orlando, Florida and Tradition in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The company is also working with municipalities and transit authorities to provide services in underserved and urban areas.
