Kate Rouch has been selected to serve as Coinbase’s new Chief Marketing Officer, the company’s President and COO, Emilie Choi, announced on Thursday.
At the cryptocurrency trading and storage platform, Rouch will be responsible for all the company’s global brand, product and performance marketing efforts.
Rouch brings over a decade of marketing experience from Facebook, where she most recently served as the Global Head of Brand and Product Marketing for Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook app, Public Affairs and the Facebook company.
In her announcement, Choi said, “Kate’s experience at a company with the scale and impact of Facebook will be invaluable as we continue building our brand, growing our teams and working to bring millions more people into the cryptoeconomy.”
“I am so inspired by what I’ve learned about crypto, and the vast ecosystem it is helping to usher forth,” Rouch stated. “At its core, Coinbase is about creating more economic freedom for people. It is a mission I feel passionately about. I can’t wait to get started helping Emilie and Brian introduce millions more people to the benefits of crypto.”
