Cornerstone OnDemand has revealed that Himanshu Palsule will serve as the cloud-based talent management software solutions provider’s next CEO. Palsule has also taken up a seat on Cornerstone’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Despite the leadership transition, the former CEO Phil Saunders will stay with the company in a senior advisor role alongside Cornerstone Founder Adam Miller.
The move comes on the back of the closure of private investment firm Clearlake’s $5.2 billion acquisition of Cornerstone this past fall.
In the company’s announcement, Co-Founder Behdad Eghbali and Clearlake Partner Prashant Mehrotra called Himanshu an experienced software industry veteran and highlighted his leadership experience scale. In addition to his leadership and industry knowledge. also brings a focus on shaping new markets and vast experience in inorganic growth acceleration
Palsule joins Cornerstone from Epicor Software, where he led growth via product innovation and customer success as the company’s President. He also served as the CTO and Head of Strategy at Sage Technologies and sat on the Board of Directors at ChannelAdvisors and Calabrio.
Eghbali and Mehrotra added, “Himanshu’s perspective, combined with his operating experience, aligns well with Clearlake’s investment thesis in Cornerstone and makes him a coveted choice to lead the company in its next stage of growth.”
