Data Startup H1 Hires New Chief Financial and Chief Data Officers

Healthcare data platform H1 has hired industry veterans Karen Moran as its new Chief Financial Officer, and Mayur Thakur as its new Chief Data Officer, additionally, former Dropbox CIO Sylvie Veilleux has joined its Board of Directors.

Moran has worked in financial management for over 25 years. She most recently held the title SVP of Strategic Finance at computer software company, Alteryx. Prior to Alteryx, she was the Treasurer of business intelligence and software developer, Domo. She has an MBA from Dartmouth and a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University.

“With its strong product-market fit, a proven track record of innovation and a passionate customer base, H1 has tremendous potential,” Moran said in a press release. “I'm looking forward to helping drive and facilitate the company’s growth.”

Thakur has many years experience working with big data platforms, he was previously the Head of Surveillance Engineering at Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman, Thakur was a software engineer at Google, working on developing algorithms for Google Search. He has a PhD in computer science from the University of Rochester.

H1’s platform connects healthcare professionals worldwide, it works closely with life science companies, hospitals, academic institutions and many healthcare organizations.The company has grown significantly in the past 12 months, and has reportedly more than doubled their annual recurring revenue. In December last year, the company raised a $58M Series B.
