Data and AI company, Databricks, has hired Andy Kofoid to be its President of Global Field Operations.
Kofoid has over three decades of experience working in operational excellence. Most recently, he served as the President of North America for Salesforce, where he oversaw over 8000 employees. Prior to joining Salesforce, Kofoid was the EVP and COO at ExactTarget. He currently sits on the board of 1871, a privately held business incubator.
"Andy brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and global leadership experience to the Databricks team and I am thrilled to introduce him as the new President of Global Field Operations," Ali Ghodsi, CEO and Co-Founder of Databricks said in a press release. "Andy's background leading and scaling high growth, customer-focused GTM organizations and his commitment to operational excellence will take Databricks to new heights."
Databricks has recently secured $1.6 billion in its series H funding led by Counterpoint Global, and is now valued at $38 billion, TechCrunch reports. This new round of funding comes only seven months after its Series G funding, where the company had raised $1 billion.
