Five9 Hires Hardik Parekh as Chief Information Security Officer

Former Head of Product Security at Splunk, Hardik Parekh, has joined cloud contact center, Five9 as its new Chief Information Security Officer. Parekh will report directly to Panos Kozanian, EVP of Cloud Operations, where he will execute the company’s global cybersecurity strategies.

“The opportunity to build on Five9’s reputation for delivering the most trusted and reliable cloud contact center is exciting,” Parekh said in a press release. “I am proud to join the company at a time of tremendous growth and innovation, and I look forward to partnering across the organization to advance a comprehensive, proactive security program.”

A graduate of the University of Florida, Parekh started his career as a software engineer for Siddha Developers then GE securities. He later became the Head Of EMC Secure Software Development Lifecycle at Dell EMC, where he stayed for nine years, according to his Linkedin. More recently, he was the CISO of Intuit Canada and Amazon Go. Parekh currently sits on the boards of The Computing Technology Industry Association, Cybersecurity Asset Management company, Axonius and open source security and license compliance management platform, WhiteSource.
